" Today, September 12, 1831, I undersigned, Domenico NAPOLEONI, elected intendant of the brotherliness (or " in the église ") of Novella, receives from Sieur Domenico ORABONA, old intendant, the sum of 88 francs and 60 cents, sum that I oblige myself to restore at the end of my equal management to the one of entrance, deduction made of expenses, of the unpaid taxes, so as follow : x taxes for 1829, xx taxes for 1830… Signing of the interested ".

End of this register, written in Italian, and that permits us to see that the management has been confided to an extended palette of men of the village. Apparently, it was not simple to make enter taxes due : carelessness, poverty, " bad faith " ? It is to underline all the same that it is in 1897, year of the miracle concerning the picture of the Virgin Saint, that there was the smallest sum in cash-box : committed expenses to receive all pilgrims did they pass the receipts ? And the last summaries of 1920, give us very " picture " of the whole of the inhabitant to this time.
